This coffee table is made slowly, intentionally, and without compromise — using reclaimed solid wood beams, traditional joinery, and quiet, considered engineering.

At DUSK woodworks, we don’t design to trends. We work with material, form, and time — allowing the character of the timber to lead the piece rather than forcing it into uniformity.

🌳 The Timber

This table is crafted entirely from solid wood beams, selected for their stability, grain depth, and long-term durability.

Unlike many tables at a similar price point, we do not use veneered MDF, finger-jointed panels, or composite boards. Each beam is genuine solid timber — air-dried, reclaimed timber.

Natural grain variation, subtle checking, and tonal shifts are embraced rather than removed. These details are not flaws — they are the quiet signatures of real wood.

🔨 The Build

The tabletop is formed from three solid wood beams, carefully joined, clamped, and reinforced using traditional methods. Each edge is hand-shaped, softening the profile while retaining the honest mass and presence of the material.

 No two tables are identical. Each piece carries its own balance of texture, grain flow, and natural character — shaped by hand, not by machine.

⚙️ Strength & Stability

Beneath the surface, the table is reinforced with concealed steel bracing, designed to keep the top flat and stable over time while still allowing the wood to move naturally with seasonal changes.

The base is a matte black steel frame, providing a clean architectural contrast to the warmth of the timber and grounding the piece with strength and simplicity.

• Thickness: approx. 65–70mm solid wood

Each table is made to order. Small variations in width, grain pattern, and surface character are a natural part of working with reclaimed and air-dried timber

⏳ Lead Time

Each table is made to order with care and attention.

Lead time: approximately 3 weeks

This allows for timber selection, hand shaping, assembly, finishing, and curing before dispatch.

🪵 A Note on Character

This table is made from real wood — not engineered substitutes. Small cracks, grain movement, and surface texture are part of the material’s history and may continue subtly over time. These details are what give the piece depth, warmth, and longevity.
